Job Title: Backend Cloud Engineer

Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled .NET Backend Engineer to join our on-site team in Tampa, FL. This mid-level role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining robust cloud services to support the evaluation, storage, and distribution of real-time analytic data. The ideal candidate will be experienced in building microservices and APIs, managing scalable infrastructure, and collaborating across disciplines to deliver high-performance solutions.

Key Responsibilities
 

  • Design, implement, and deploy APIs and microservices in a .NET environment.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate containerized applications into production systems.

  • Write clean, reusable, and modular code that adheres to SOLID principles and industry best practices.

  • Deploy and maintain cloud hosted Kubernetes clusters with robust logging.

  • Manage cloud-based infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines to support scalable deployments.

  • Optimize database queries and architecture to support high-throughput, real-time applications.

  • Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

  • Proficiency in C#, .NET (Core and Framework), and SQL for backend development.

  • Hands-on experience with Kafka and Kubernetes in distributed, cloud-native environments.

  • Strong understanding of object-oriented design and software engineering principles.

  • Demonstrated experience supporting real-time or near-real-time systems in production environments.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to thrive in a collaborative team setting.

  • Demonstrated experience deploying, managing, and maintaining microservices in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) production environments; experience with AWS or Azure is also acceptable.

  • Experience with publish–subscribe messaging systems, with Kafka strongly preferred.
